masters... masteressess

Last night was northern clays 20th birthday celebration. As is my tendency I volunteered my great survey giving talents. While this task may sound boring or mundane, excuse me miss could i ask you to fill out a brief survey? Would you mind filling out a survey, sir?the truth is, nothin at the clay center is boring. and it does not cease to amaze me. last night while administering surveys to the masses, the doors opened revealing the masters of clay. really seriously masters. And Patti Warashina walks right up to me. An open hand raises from her side, and she says, "Hi I'm Patti." Naturally, I raised my hand to shake hers and said "I'm Audra". I realize this may be a lackluster story, but to me it wasn't. I love how small the ceramic world can be when youve landed(for how ever long) at a hub. Where people come and go. And they travel by foot, bicycle, car and plane. People from all walks of life at different stages of their careers. And for one moment I will share in the same experience, will have had the same experience. To me this is special.
